The narrow field of view of standard cameras makes context information less useful for panoramic scene understanding tasks than for object detection. To overcome this limitation, the PanoContext dataset was created for model training. The dataset includes 500 annotated rectangular indoor environment layouts, such as bedrooms and living rooms.
