Light-Field Material is a new 4D material light field dataset. The dataset contains 12 material categories, each with 100 images taken by Lytro Illum, from which researchers extracted about 30,000 patches. This is a medium-sized dataset mainly used to study material recognition, but can also be used to study other new applications such as object detection, image segmentation, and view interpolation.
