Caravan Global Community Large Sample Hydrological Dataset
Caravan is an open, global, community-based large-sample hydrological dataset that standardizes and integrates seven existing large-sample hydrological datasets, containing meteorological forcing data, watershed attributes, and flow data for global watersheds. This dataset contains meteorological driving data, runoff data, and static watershed attributes (e.g., geophysical, social, and climatic attributes) for 6,830 watersheds. The data comes from several existing open datasets, including CAMELS (US), CAMELS-AUS, and CAMELS-BR. Runoff (river flow) data has been normalized by watershed area and is expressed in millimeters per day. All data are recorded according to the local time zone of the station (daylight saving time is not observed throughout the year). This time zone information is included in the metadata.
