NVIDIA and Partners Showcase AI Advances at Singapore AI Day
NVIDIA AI Day Singapore, held September 22-23 at the Raffles City Convention Centre, served as a focal point for accelerating artificial intelligence adoption across Southeast Asia. The event highlighted a regional shift from experimental pilots to production-scale deployment, driven by partnerships between NVIDIA and local enterprises, research institutions, and government agencies. A central theme of the gathering was the customization of open models to address Southeast Asia’s diverse linguistic, cultural, and economic requirements. Across the public sector and enterprise landscape, organizations are leveraging the NVIDIA Nemotron series to build localized AI capabilities. In Singapore, the Home Team Science and Technology Agency is conducting research with Nemotron Super and Nano Omni models to enhance public safety through secure, multimodal applications grounded in operational data. Concurrently, NCS is integrating Nemotron architectures with video search blueprints to advance agentic AI and humanoid robotics, while ST Engineering utilizes NeMo and cuOpt tools to deploy autonomous solutions across marine maintenance operations. Beyond Singapore, regional adoption is accelerating. Viettel AI and FPT Smart Cloud in Vietnam are fine-tuning Nemotron models and creating demographic datasets to optimize language services and legal agents, serving tens of thousands of users. In Thailand, iApp Technology adapted Nemotron 3 Nano to develop Thanoy, an open-source legal assistant, while Malaysian and Thai firms are deploying NVIDIA Cosmos world models and video search blueprints to optimize urban traffic and airport passenger flows. The event also underscored major infrastructure milestones. Sea Limited, the Singapore-based parent company of Shopee, Garena, and Monee, announced it is the first enterprise in the ASEAN region to adopt the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform. This strategic infrastructure upgrade will enable the company to scale AI models and intelligent agents across its e-commerce, digital finance, and gaming divisions. The enhanced computing capacity aims to streamline product discovery, automate seller workflows, strengthen fraud detection, and foster safer digital entertainment environments, ultimately empowering resource-constrained small and medium enterprises to access enterprise-grade AI. Collectively, these initiatives illustrate a coordinated push to transform Southeast Asia into an AI-driven region. By prioritizing open-source frameworks, localized training data, and advanced computing hardware, NVIDIA and its regional partners are establishing the technical and economic foundations required for sustained digital transformation across public services, commercial enterprises, and urban infrastructure.
