HMDB stands for Human Motion Database, which is a video dataset for identifying human behaviors. The videos come from movies, the Internet, etc. The dataset consists of 6,849 video clips of 51 types of actions (such as "jump", "kiss" and "laugh"), and each type contains at least 101 clips.
The initial evaluation scheme used 3 different training/testing splits, with 70 video clips for model training and 30 clips for model testing per action category in each split. The average precision of these 3 splits was used to measure the final performance.
