dSprites stands for Disentanglement testing Sprites dataset, which is a 2D graphics dataset generated by a program from 6 independent ground truth latent factors. These factors include the color, shape, scale, rotation, X and Y position of a character. All possible combinations of these latent factors appear only once, resulting in a total number of images of N = 737,280.
