HPatches stands for Homography-patches dataset. It is the latest image dataset for local patch descriptor evaluation. It contains 116 sequences of 6 images with known homology. The dataset is divided into two parts:

• viewpoint: 59 sequences with significant viewpoint changes
• illumination: 57 sequences with significant lighting changes (natural and artificial)
